1. What images come to mind when you think of missionary nursing?
2. Read Acts 1:8. What do you think Jesus meant by saying “You shall be my witnesses”?
3. In what ways have you been a witness to Christ recently? How might your witness change if you were talking with someone from another culture?
4. How did you become a Christian? Who mentored you in the faith?
5. Read Matthew 28:19-20. What specific commands did Jesus give?
6. In what ways are you currently involved in carrying out these commands?
7. What changes would you have to make if you were to take this Great Commission more seriously?
8. Read Luke 9:51 through 10:12. To whom was Jesus speaking? What unusual circumstances did they face?
9. Some of Jesus’ instructions in this passage were time-conditioned (e.g., verse 4). We know this because the disciples did not follow these directions later. However, what timeless principles of mission do you see outlined here?
10. In what ways do you believe God is calling you to be involved in global mission? What consequences might you face for your involvement?
