NCF National Ministry

• Ask God to bless NCF Director Jane Hall with wisdom and confidence in Him as she leads the ministry, manages the finances, and works with NCF and InterVarsity staff to see students and nurses transformed to be like Jesus.
• Pray that God will prompt students and nurses to become NCF ministry partners who sustain the ministry through their prayers and financial gifts.
• We thank God for Linda, Kimberly and Shelley in our national office who manage NCF memberships, conference registrations, communications and our NCF website. Ask God to give them joy in their service and clear focus in their workload.
• In June the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a case that may have significant ramifications for campus ministries such as NCF and InterVarsity, depending on how schools interpret the Supreme Court's decision. Pray that God will empower students to have a bold, compelling witness on campus.

NCF Student Ministry

• Pray with Bonnie Hann for 37 campus groups that plan to start or reactivate NCF groups this fall and for the staff who will assist them.
• Thank God with Robert Campbell and Karen Bergquist for students beginning nursing school this fall. May they know God's purposes for them and desire to be a part of God's mission within nursing.
• Pray for faculty advisors who balance their educator and ministry roles to help guide student groups.
• Ask God to give our staff and students creative ways to meet together as they work around their different schedules and the demands of nursing school.
• Thank God with Grace Tazelaar for the nine students who participated in the summer NCF Global Project to Uganda. Ask God to use their experiences to solidify His work through them on their campuses.
• Connie Jarlsberg and Renee Lick will present at the Global Health Missions Conference in Kentucky on November 11-13, 2010. Pray that the students who attend will sense God’s leading to serve Him -- wherever, whenever, and whatever He calls them to do.

NCF Continuing Education & Nurse Ministry

• Thank God with Fran McHolm for the more than 400 students and nurses attended 14 CE activities that NCF provided in 2009-10. Pray that they will continue to incorporate a biblically-based Christian perspective as they relate to patients and co-workers. Pray for NCF conferences happening this fall.
• Pray for wisdom and discernment for NCF leadership regarding plans for the next NCF Summit, our national conference for Christian nurses and students.

Publications, Resources and Networking

• Pray for Skip McDonald and other staff developing new student resources to explore God's Word.
• Pray for Cathy Walker as she works on articles for upcoming issues of the Journal of Christian Nursing.
• Ask God to give wisdom to Kathy Schoonover-Shoffner, JCN editor, as she negotiates a renewed contract with JCN's publisher, Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins.

Global Ministry

• Pray that the Canadian government will approve NCF Canada's application to become a nonprofit ministry. Ask God to give the leaders wisdom, patience, and strength as they establish NCF Canada as a vibrant, independent ministry to students and nurses across Canada.
• Thank God that seeds were planted during the NCF Global Project for starting NCF ministry in Uganda.
