WED, SEP 10...Pray for Diane Stegmier and others on the California workshop planning committee as they finalize plans for the October 10, 2008 NCF workshop.
THUR, SEP 11...Pray for nursing students around the country as they return to school. Pray that students in the NCF chapters would be bold in inviting new students to check out NCF as they begin nursing school. Ask that student nurses would be able to grasp how to integrate their faith into nursing.
FRI, SEP 12...The US delegation to the NCFI Conference leaves for Nigeria today. Please pray for safe travel, smooth connections, and supernatural refreshment.
SAT, SEP 13...Pray for safe travel for nurses from around the world who are gathering in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Nurses Christian Fellowship International. Pray for the speakers, organizers, and participants - for good health, cultural adaptability and, most of all, for God to be glorified. The conference runs through September 19.

There will be a meeting on Best Practices for Short Term Medical Missions prior to the conference. Ask that God would use the discussions and conference to bring health and wholeness to the suffering people around the world.
FRI, SEP 19...Renee Lick and Judy Shelly will lead a "Transcultual Immersion" experience in cooperation with the staff of the Nigeria Fellowship of Christian Nurses, today through October 1. Pray for good cross-cultural communication, strong collegial relationships to develop between the US and Nigerian staff, good health and flexibility for all involved.
SAT, SEP 20... Pray for the nurses from the USA participating in a Medical Service project with the Nigerian nurses following the NCFI conference. They include: Judy Shelly, Renee Lick, Linda Heckman, Kamalini Kumar, Jackie Iatesta, Emma Jackson, Margaret Taylor, and Pat Emery. The dates are Sept. 20-30.

This event promises to be a life-changing experience as faculty and graduate students interact with nationally known speakers in both plenary sessions and smaller discipline specific tracks.
TUE, SEP 23...Please ask God to guide, encourage, and sustain doctoral students, including NCF volunteer staff Robyn Bullock as she teaches and travels between India and Indiana.
WED, Sep 24...Join Skip McDonald in asking God for a strong start to the new school year for NCF in the southeast with new student outreach at: Georgia Perimeter College, Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, Emory University, Kennesaw State College, Georgia College, and State University.
THUR, SEP 25....Thank God for student leaders and faculty advisors who are leading NCF student communities this fall at campuses across the country. Thank God that we live in a place where NCF can be a recognized student group on campus and a witnessing community in colleges of nursing. Pray for strength for our brothers and sisters around the world who cannot meet openly as a Christian group. Ask God to protect them, provide for them, and grow their fellowships by the work of His Spirit.

TUE, SEP 30...Give thanks for retired nurses in NCF, and pray for development of the REASON network (retirees encouraging and supportive of NCF). Thank God for Erna Goulding's vision for this idea, and pray for Mary Thompson as she implements plans.
WED, OCT 1...Praise God for the 13 nursing students, nurses, and patients who came to Christ this year through the ministry of NCF. Please pray for opportunities to share our faith with others, for hearts to be ready, and for NCF staff as they develop resources to assist with evangelism.
