Mission
To demonstrate God's love for the poor and underserved through
nursing both in the United States and abroad.
Values
All persons, regardless of
age, race, culture, socioeconomic status, or physical or mental
ability, are created in God's image and have value and worth.
As Christian nurses we value human life and advocate for
health care that demonstrates Christ's righteousness and justice.
Christian communities are
characterized by relationships of love.
The strength for ministry to the poor and underserved comes
from a loving community who share a Christian worldview that
encourages commitment to the ministry.
Ministry is the response to
God's call to be involved in His work.
Christian nurses see their profession as more than a job;
it's a call and a ministry to others who are weak, ill, suffering
and/or vulnerable.
Goals
Invite nurses to have a personal
relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Encourage nurses to use their
professional knowledge and skills as a ministry in their community.
Network with other ministries
that are serving the health needs of the poor and underserved.
Develop resources that equip
nurses and nursing students to provide health care among the
poor and underserved.
Collaborate with other IV/NCF
staff and ministries that advocate for the poor and underserved.
